Our U7 - U9 Intramural Program is comprised of Boys & Girls from 6 to 9 years of ages which offers each child their first foray into organized "friendlies".

  • Outside of their weekly game (friendlies), each child has the opportunity to be professionally trained.
  • All potentail "team" practices are scheduled by their individual coach.
  • All games & practices are to be held at school locations throughoput the POB neighborhood including Parkway School , Fern Place, Pasadena and Jamaica Avenue.

As these are the formitive years to help build the foundation for each & every child, POBSC had adapted the "small-sided" philosophy several years ago, primarily to allow each player to have the most amount of "touches" on the ball each and every practice and game.

During the years of U7 - U9, teams are drafted based upon the individual player's ratings which had been developed by coaches based upon a fomula designed by POBSC.  This allows each division to have parady among all its teams.   Again POBSC is truly concerned with the development of each & every child, thus our focus at this level is on the skills (i.e. dribbling, receiveing, passing and striking the ball) rather then wins and loses so during each season (Fall & Spring) scores and standings are not kept; as stated we stress skills and fundamentals.

Now with that being said, during the season, each divsion has the opportunity to put teams togther to play at tournaments throughout the area.

Lastly, in addition to our regular intramural program each child has the opportunity to play in a secondary program by registering to participate in the NDP (Nassau Development Program) program, but in order to participate, the child MUST first participate each week on his/her intramural team.

We have Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer Sessions.
